Nancy Tucker
Ms. Tucker began her career as a wedding consultant after years of planning events and conferences in her position with Verizon. As a detail oriented person, she was the natural choice to help out friends and family with their weddings and parties. As her profession with Verizon neared retirement eligibility, Ms. Tucker decided to start a business as a Wedding Consultant. The first step was acquiring the necessary education so she began with classes at a local community college. The next step was the successful completion of the required course provided by Weddings Beautiful Worldwide thereby becoming a Certified Wedding Specialist.
Throughout her career, Ms. Tucker has been engaged to plan and coordinate weddings for brides with $5,000 budgets and the brides with the $75,000 to $150,000 budget. Jean Daviet
For 30 years, Jean served in various project management positions with Fortune 500 companies. Five years ago when she decided to ‘retire’, she realized the same principals of corporate management apply to wedding planning. It is necessary to create a detailed plan, contract with trusted vendors, bring in all tasks on schedule, and within your budget parameters. She is not an event planner. She coordinates weddings and only weddings in the Front Range communities of Northern Colorado close to her Greeley home.
Recently, Jean has reactivated another talent from her consulting days; providing financial and business advice to small companies. Many companies are fellow wedding professionals whom, like so many small businesses, want financial success but have never focused on how the financial picture impacts their overall business health.
Jean balances her interest in helping other businesses with fun time with her all or some of her 15 grandchildren. Her community passion is directed to Habitat for Humanity where she can be seen wielding a paint brush or working through the tax intricacies of obtaining first time home buyer credits for habitat families.
