To Toss the Bouquet and Garter or Not

Today's brides often choose to present their bouquets to their grandparents or to the couple who has been married the longest. Some brides have the bouquet constructed with a removable centerpiece, so that it can be used at the couples table during the reception.

Other brides have a smaller version of the bridal bouquet - a tossing bouquet if you will - for those that still practice this tradition. This way gives them an option to preserve their bouquet.

In addition, today’s couples are not incorporating the garter toss. Since photos of the garter are not very flattering, very few brides decide to take a picture of the garter. Most brides decide to keep their wedding garter, instead provide a special tossing garter. While others get two garters, so they can keep one and toss the other.

The discretion of the bouquet and garter toss is completely up to the couple.
