How do we proceed with planning in 2021?

The COVID-19 pandemic affected the event industry as it brought events to a halt. Depending on the state, some allow gatherings with restrictions and others that have not allowed any type of gatherings.

So, what does a professional Planner do with all of these restrictions, and a client who is eager to have their event?

Here are a few ideas to stay ahead and alert:

1. Check the most current CDC Guidelines.

2. Check the states protocols, guidelines, and mandates.

3. Work around the parameters, if there is a way to move ahead with the couples wedding:

- Flexibility is key. Discuss all of the options with the couple and wedding professionals before making changes.

- Take all safety precautions into consideration.

- Review the CDC website for daily updates. Inform the couple of any updates.

- Confirm with the venue what protocols they have in place, and how they are proceeding with events during the pandemic.

- Keep open communications with all the professionals involved with the wedding to make sure you are ALL on the same page.

- Have your team take their temperature daily.
