Gary Wright founded Weddings Beautiful in 1968 with Doris Nixon, the author of the original course. Their vision was to help others realize their dreams of working for themselves as wedding planners. His experience includes opening, managing, and selling bridal businesses at 31 retail locations across six states. His honors include a Lifetime Achievement Award by the National Tabletop Giftware Association, Who’s Who in the Jewelry Industry by JCK Magazine, and Bridal Guide’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Lynda Fitch

Chief Operations Officer

Lynda has experience in numerous businesses in the wedding industry, and as COO she coordinates company policy and manages WB’s international licensees. Still, she enjoys communicating directly with WB customers to help them with all of their needs.

Nancy Tucker

Director of Education

Nancy is the point of contact for all students throughout their studies. With over twelve years of full-time planning experience, her review and personal attention of each assignment makes it the ultimate learning experience for the student. Nancy’s peers throughout the wedding industry have recognized her enthusiasm, passion, and knowledge for giving expert advice.

Kathy Carr

Director of Development

With a dedication to detail Kathy keeps things running smoothly at WB. She plays key roles behind the scenes of everything from human resources to the databases and websites. If you have any questions about your account or simply would like to check the grade of one of your CWS assignments, just email Kathy at kathy@weddingsbeautiful.com.

Pat Mahoney

Director of Training

Pat uses the knowledge gained from thirty years in the wedding industry to write Wedding Notes and Pat's Pen for Weddings Beautiful. Before joining our team, Pat was an executive with the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Her Wedding Notes are articles of tips and trends in the wedding industry, that you are free to modify and use to represent your business in local advertising or social media. It's like having your own personal ghostwriter to support your reputation as a knowledgable professional in your market.

Michael Nolte
